The Forgotten Giants
A Danish artist built six enormous figures out of scrap timber and hid them in the woods and beaches west of Copenhagen, each with a rhyming clue pointing at the next. They are free and permanent, and they are also spread across half of Zealand, which is why most people book the driving.

The Beer Walk

The Danish Pastry

Two countries before dinner.

Aarhus is three hours west and worth the seat.
Denmark’s second city put a walkable rainbow ring on the roof of its art museum and a whole reconstructed old town in the park behind it. Under the high street is a Viking rampart; along the water is a harbour district that rebuilt itself in glass. Everything is close enough to do on foot.
